Role Overview:

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and highly communicative Business Development Associate to support our business growth initiatives through market research, lead generation, prospect engagement, and sales coordination. As a key member of the Business Development team, you will play an important role in identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients, and ensuring a seamless sales pipeline.

You will represent the organisation professionally across client interactions, networking events, exhibitions, and technology trade shows while working closely with the Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams to support business acquisition and client onboarding.

The candidate must be willing to travel for client meetings, networking events, exhibitions, conferences, and business development activities whenever required.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, target markets, and new business opportunities.
Identify and qualify prospective clients through LinkedIn, industry directories, digital platforms, referrals, networking events, and other lead generation channels.
Generate qualified leads through cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and other outbound prospecting initiatives.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects through consistent follow-ups and relationship management.
Schedule meetings, presentations, and discovery sessions for the Business Development and Sales teams.
Prepare professional company presentations, capability decks, proposals, quotations, case studies, and other business development collateral.
Participate in client meetings, technology exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, webinars, and networking events to professionally represent the organisation and create new business opportunities.
Conduct initial discussions with prospective clients to understand their business requirements and qualify opportunities before handing them over to the sales team.
Maintain regular communication with prospective clients throughout the sales cycle and ensure timely follow-ups.
Update and manage leads, opportunities, client interactions, meeting notes, and follow-up activities within the CRM system.
Coordinate with the Operations Head, Business Development team, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project onboarding.
Support proposal submissions, commercial documentation, and client onboarding activities.
Maintain accurate sales reports and pipeline updates for management review.
Assist in achieving monthly and quarterly business development objectives by maintaining an active and qualified sales pipeline.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in Business Development, Lead Generation, Market Research, Sales Coordination, Customer Success, Inside Sales, or a similar client-facing role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, along with strong command of the local/native language.
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
A professional, well-groomed, confident, and presentable personality with excellent business etiquette.
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify high-potential business opportunities.
Confidence in making cold calls, writing personalised outreach emails, and initiating conversations with decision-makers.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects, follow-up schedules, and internal coordination effectively.
Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other lead generation tools.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking events, exhibitions, conferences, and business development activities whenever required.
