We are looking for a skilled & passionate Senior Web Developer to guide our web development team in building and delivering high-quality websites and web applications for clients. The ideal candidate should have work experience in delivering high-performing websites, deep expertise in React.js and Next.js, a strong grasp of modern web architecture, and the ability to mentor developers.

You will own the technical direction of client projects, from architecture and estimation through development, deployment, and maintenance. Alongside your own development work, you will raise the quality of the team's output through code reviews, coaching, and clear technical standards. Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the technical design and architecture of websites and web applications built with React.js and Next.js.
• Review project requirements and UI/UX designs, and define the technical approach, scope, and effort estimates.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, with high quality, performance, and scalability.
• Make informed decisions on technology choices, frameworks, integrations, and deployment strategies.
• Take ownership of technical risks, blockers, and escalations across projects.

Hands-on Development

• Develop and contribute to responsive, high-performance websites and web applications.
• Build reusable, maintainable components and establish patterns the team can follow.
• Work on new builds as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing applications.

Integrations & Deployment

• Oversee the integration of REST APIs, third-party services, and external applications.
• Guide CMS selection and implementation, including CMS integrations.
• Manage configuration across development, staging, and production environments.
• Lead deployments on Vercel and other platforms, and ensure smooth release processes.
• Lead performance optimisation, cross-browser compatibility, and technical SEO considerations.

Mentoring & Team Development

• Mentor and guide developers, supporting their technical growth and problem-solving ability.
• Conduct regular code reviews with constructive, actionable feedback.
• Define and enforce coding standards, Git workflows, and development best practices.
• Help developers debug complex issues and understand root causes rather than just fixes.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and encourage a culture of learning.
• Assist in onboarding new developers and in evaluating technical skills during hiring.

Collaboration & Process

• Work closely with UI/UX designers, project managers, and operations to align technical delivery with client expectations.
• Communicate technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, architecture notes, and technical guidelines.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and drive improvements in our tools, processes, and solutions.

• 3-4 years of professional experience in website & application development.
• At least 1 year experience as senior developer, or team mentoring role.
• Expert-level experience with React.js and Next.js, including rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR), routing, and performance optimisation.
• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS; TypeScript experience preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of Node.js and backend concepts.
• Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
• Experience with CMS platforms and headless CMS integrations.
• Proficiency with Git, CLI/terminal, and modern development tools and workflows.
• Experience of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, deployment processes, and environment management.
• Hands-on experience with Vercel and production web application deployments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience in code reviews, technical documentation, and enforcing coding standards.
• Ability to estimate effort and plan technical delivery for client projects.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify or Shopify-based e-commerce projects will be considered a major advantage.
• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, web accessibility, and Core Web Vitals is a plus.
