Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. As a WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to project success and enhance the overall user experience. A key aspect of this role involves proficiency in headless CMS, with knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

Frontend Development:

  • Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create visually appealing and responsive user interfaces.
  • Implement designs provided by UI/UX designers, ensuring consistency and adherence to branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with design teams to translate wireframes and visual designs into functional websites.

 

Backend Development:

  • Work with PHP, MySQL, and other backend technologies to develop robust and scalable server-side functionalities.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.

WordPress Theme Customization:

  • Modify and customize existing themes to meet specific project needs.
  • Ensure compatibility and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.

Plugin Development and Customization:

  • Create custom WordPress plugins to extend website functionality.
  • Customize and modify existing plugins to suit project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to plugin compatibility and performance.

Content Management:

  • Manage and update website content using WordPress CMS.
  • Ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with project goals.
  • Train and assist content administrators in effectively using the CMS.

Security and Performance Optimization:

  • Implement security best practices to safeguard websites from vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize website performance for speed and scalability.
  • Conduct regular performance audits and implement improvements as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Staying Updated:

  • Stay informed about the latest WordPress updates, trends, and best practices.
  • Continuously enhance skills through self-learning and exploration of new technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in custom WordPress theme customization.
  • Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development.
  • In-depth knowledge of PHP programming language for backend development.
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Ability to create responsive and mobile-friendly web designs.
  • Ensure optimal user experience across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and web services into WordPress.
  • Understanding of RESTful API principles for seamless data exchange.
  • Proficient in content management using the WordPress CMS.
  • Knowledge of content organization, taxonomy, and custom post types.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to address cross-browser compatibility and performance challenges.
  • Knowledge in WooCommerce, Payment Gateway Integration
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams.
  • Adherence to coding standards and best practices for maintainable and scalable code.
  • Knowledge of techniques for optimizing website performance and speed.
  • Understanding of WordPress security best practices to ensure secure websites.
  • Experience with WordPress plugin development, customization, and management is considered as a plus.
  • Experience in using WordPress as headless CMS is considered as a plus.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous WordPress projects and customizations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration within a team environment.
